We take photographs of places that do not exist, and give them away.

Scenic Endeavor is a free stock photo library. New photos are generated with AI, then refined by hand, and published in sets called drops. Every drop is free, in full resolution, for anyone.

The starting point of each image is generated by an AI. From there the work is done by a person, over many rounds: reframing, re-lighting, removing the tells, adjusting colour, and cutting anything that does not earn its place. A drop is what survives.

Why free

A library that is free spreads further than one that charges a few dollars an image. We would rather be the images people actually use. It is funded by a small number of advertising partners, and their presence is limited to two quiet placements that never get in the way of the work.

What you can do with the images

Almost anything. Use them in client work, print them, put them in your app, your deck, your film. You do not need to credit us, though it is always appreciated. The only thing you cannot do is repackage the library and sell it as your own stock collection. Read the plain-language license.
